AbstractThe purpose of this article is to provide the reader with a comprehensive yet detailed account of the current giftedness and gifted education situation in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. It is concerned with four main research questions: (1) How is ‘giftedness’ defined in German-speaking countries? (2) How are gifted children identified? (3) What gifted education programs are there? (4) What are the empirical findings on these programs?The article is based on relevant journal articles, books, and webpages. The review of each of the topics mentioned above is accompanied by some critical comments.
Decoding Children's Social Behavior

We introduce a new problem domain for activity recognition: the analysis of children's social and communicative behaviors based on video and audio data. We specifically target interactions between children aged 1-2 years and an adult. Such interactions arise naturally in the diagnosis and treatment of developmental disorders such as autism. We introduce a new publicly-available dataset containing over 160 sessions of a 3-5 minute child-adult interaction. In each session, the adult examiner followed a semi-structured play interaction protocol which was designed to elicit a broad range of social behaviors. The aim of the present paper is to describe and critique the methodological difficulties encountered when approaching statistical studies in tourism. Corruption in banks: A bibliometric review and agenda

Abstract This paper is a bibliometric review of 819 articles, between 1969 and 2019, on corruption in banks. We identified six research streams: (1) the determinants of banks’ lending corruption; (2) the impact of corruption on banks’ lending and operational risk; (3) the impact of bank corruption on firms; (4) the impact of political connections on bank corruption; (5) the impact of corporate governance and regulations on bank corruption; and (6) the manipulation of the inter-bank offered rate. We recommend an anti-corruption architecture system and an extension in theoretical frameworks related to corruption in banks. We propose 20 future research questions.
Sentiment Analysis of Twitter in Tourism Destinations

[EN] Given the importance of electronic word of mouth (eWOM), this paper analyses the content of messages generated by users related to a tourist destination and shared through Twitter. We propose three research questions regarding eWOM behaviour in Twitter focused on the expertise of the reviewer, sentiment analysis of a tweet and its content.In order to address those research questions we carry out text mining analysis by retrieving existing information on Twitter (over 1500 tweets) regarding to Venice as a tourist destination.

Abstract This article provides a systematic review of existing research on problematic smartphone use (PSU) to guide other researchers in search of relevant studies, and to propose areas for future research. The objective of this paper is to examine the funding practices of The Research Council of Norway’s Programs for Mental Health during the time period from 1995 to 2015. The paper’s foci are on funded research groups and professions, main topics, and research questions. The empirical data consists of 138 project abstracts. The findings reveal a discrepancy between the national policies and funding practices during the program periods, where narrow knowledge development like biological, genetic, and neurological is given priority.
